Job Description:

Emerald Engineering, Inc. is a growing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection firm located in Tampa, FL. We are actively seeking to fill a drafter position. We generally work with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineers to produce construction documents for a large variety of building types.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit is required
  • Knowledge of Dynamo is a plus
  • Experience working both in a team environment and independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

This is a full-time, salary position. Compensation packages will be commensurate with specific position and experience. New team members will be trained as needed but will be expected to contribute quickly. Benefits include health, dental, and vision premium coverage, 401K plan, and paid vacation.

Mechanical Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical (HVAC) design & construction
  • Proficiency in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience working with architects, owners, and contractors
  • Experience in design of direct expansion, chilled water, and VRF systems
  • Active PE licensure is preferred but not required
  • Experience in Elite Software and Energy Gauge software is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Mechanical Designer/Engineer

  • 1-5 years of experience in mechanical design & construction
  • Proficiency in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit

  • BSME preferred but not required

MEP Engineer

Job Description:

Emerald Engineering is seeking driven and talented MEP Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and delivering innovative mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a diverse range of building projects. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop comprehensive MEP designs and fire protection solutions. 
  • Prepare construction documents, design calculations, and specifications in adherence to relevant codes and standards. 
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and inform design decisions. 
  • Provide support during the construction phase to address technical issues and ensure project success. 
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction. 
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and emerging technologies in MEP engineering.
     

Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. 
  • Proficiency in Autodesk and Revit is highly preferred. 
  • Solid understanding of building codes, energy efficiency principles, and sustainable design practices. 
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
