MacDill Central Ops – Power Systems Analysis

This hardened facility is equipped with 7.5MW of new on-site generation, with future expansion capabilities. The electrical design features medium voltage paralleling switchgear, 15kV distribution, and multiple 480V substations. Emerald performed a comprehensive arc flash analysis, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination study for the entire electrical system.

Additionally, we provided all protective settings for the GE Multilin relays in the paralleling switchgear and other medium voltage distribution panels. Our team utilized SKM PowerTools and GE EnerVista software to ensure accurate and reliable results, enhancing the safety and efficiency of the facility’s electrical infrastructure.
