MacDill Central Ops – Power Systems Analysis

This hardened facility houses 7.5MW of new on-site generation, with capabilities for expansion.  The electrical design included medium voltage paralleling switchgear, 15kV distribution and multiple 480V substations.  In addition to performing an arc flash analysis, protective device coordination study, and short-circuit analysis for the entire system, Emerald also provided all protective settings for the GE Multilin relays in the paralleling switchgear and other MV distribution lineups.  All analyses were performed using SKM PowerTools and GE EnerVista software.
