Tampa General Hospital – Annex Electrical Upgrades

This infrastructure project reconfigured the electrical services for the existing Annex Building. As part of the scope, two generators were removed, and all essential loads were transferred to the CEP, which had undergone a significant expansion in 2020. The project included the installation of new normal and essential unit substations to support updated electrical distribution throughout the Annex. With an approximate budget of $4 million, the project also achieved electrical segregation of the Annex, enhancing system reliability through the addition of new oil-filled unit substations and submersible, solid dielectric medium-voltage switchgear located at the building’s exterior.
